Taco’s

I was recently looking at recipes from Great Depresson Era to see how people survived.

The answer–potatoes. So I thought why not put some in taco meat? I scrubbed 1 potato and chopped it very fine with the skin on.

Ground beef with onions, garlic and potatoes. Cook until meat is done. And I happen to like the meat a little crispy in spots. It adds such great flavor.

Here I have added 1 can of black beans and a can of tomatoes.

The “final product” picture is not here and my photo editor is out of town. SORRY!

We had these with cilantro, lettuce, avocado, and sour cream on top. Oh ya, and jalapeno’s also.

Taco’s

1 lb. ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 cloves garlic

1 potato, chopped fine

1 can black beans

1 can tomatoes

Seasoning:

Sea salt, black pepper, cumin, oregano, paprika, chili powder, cayenne pepper, and whatever else you can find.

Brown the ground beef, add the onions and cook until tender. Season the meat. Add the garlic then stir in the tomatoes. Drain the black beans and rinse. Stir them in. Add water if needed. Simmer lightly for up to 30 minutes. Serve with warmed tortillas. Top with avocado, sour cream, lettuce, cilantro, tomatoes etc.
